Your Engagement Session!

The most important thing for you to know upfront is this:
We view a couples session as a time for you to create an experience and a memory. We want you to come to the session, totally excited to be with each other. We’ll definitely have fun with you guys, we’ll keep it pretty relaxed, and we’ll make lots of great photos but, our biggest goal is for you to walk away from the session joyful and refreshed, and more in love with your soon-to-be-spouse. Then, the photos we give to you will serve as a reminder of that. Not just simple poses, but your experience with each other!

Choose an environment for your engagement session where you’ll feel comfortable being photographed. We like to encourage couples to pick a location (or two) that is unique and, if possible, has meaning or significance to you. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

-where you first met each other
-where the proposal happened
-where you spend lots of time together
-doing your favorite activity
-at your favorite cafe or restaurant
-favorite skyline
-downtown/urban setting

Some tips to keep in mind
-Words and logos on clothing can be distracting in the photos – use sparingly.
-Coordinate your outfits in some way, but keep it stylish and don’t match too much. :)
-Empty out your pockets!
-Leave your jackets, purse and other bags in the car
-Wear something that you feel defines your personality/style.
-If you’re particularly concerned about something, just mention it to us so we can keep an eye out for it.
-Most importantly, dress in something you’ll feel comfortable in!

Items to bring to the session
-Session + travel fee (can pay online in advance)
-A clothing change, if you’d like (we suggest at least one casual outfit)
-Unique/creative props or items that describe you as a couple and your interests, if you’d like to add some details to the shoot
