Fall weddings are great, especially when the weather is inexplicably warmer than anyone would imagine it to be! And what’s not to love about pumpkins, apples, leaves and fall colors?

One of my favorite parts of Will and Leah’s day was their group father/daughter dance. As a dad, it brought tears to my eyes seeing all the dads out their with their little girls, and thinking of my little Willow and dancing with her someday. (Sorry if that is too much emotion for you who don’t have daughters of your own, but I couldn’t keep myself from sharing that thought/memory.) :)

Will and Leah planned a beautiful Stillwater-area wedding and had fall details sprinkled throughout their day- here are a few photos from their wedding!

It’s Kelly writing this time!  This was one of the first weddings I shot alongside Ray in 2010, so I thought I’d chime in for once. =)

I had to try hard to remember if we had met Melissa prior to her wedding day (I thought for sure we had, but we hadn’t), because she is one of the most caring, welcoming, I’m-so-excited-to-meet-you, type of people.  That personality, combined with the fact that it was her wedding day and she was finally going to be married to her best friend, made her – truly – one of the most excited and enthusiastic brides we have ever been with.  She was radiant and unstoppable!  I’ll never forget the moment the florist brought her flowers to her – she was so giddy and excited… so fun.

The ceremony is also something I’ll never forget.  Her brothers are both pastors, so they shared officiant duties. Man – do these Swigart kids have some sincere love for each other.  I was totally crying at multiple points throughout the ceremony… once, almost from laughter: Right before her brother was about to introduce the couple, he said… “You may now kiss… (long enough pause to make it a bit uncomfortable) my SISTER.”  So appropriate and hilarious.

Not only did the reception act as a major celebration for these two (accompanied by some yummy desserts), but it was also a bit bittersweet,  since Ryan and Melissa were planning to move to China in just a few short weeks.  Without sounding chiche, you could really feel the love in the room.  Thanks, Ryan and Melissa, for inviting us in to be a part of your exceedingly special day!

Here are a few of our favorite shots from the day:
